From an early age, I developed a passion for photography as well as art & design. Perhaps it was viewing Ansel Adams’ breathtaking landscape photographs or seeing the creatively engaging portraits of Annie Leibovitz grace the covers of Rolling Stone Magazine that sparked my imagination and desire for artistic photography. Maybe it could have been a combination among so many photojournalists & artists who have captured exclusively exceptional images in the pages of National Geographic, Architectural Digest, and Time Magazine.

These print media giants were always so easily accessible to me growing up and I was drawn to them. They captured my attention for hours as I lost myself in those magical images. I imagine they all hold a significant piece in my creative mind somewhere, but the one thing I knew for certain was I had to carve my own space somewhere in this universe, because I belonged there and it belonged to me.

When I was 11 years old, I read on a cereal box that I could send in proofs of purchase to get a camera of my very own. Needless to say, I ate lots of cereal that summer, determined to hold that camera in my possession and start taking my own photographs. When I finally got it, It was a cheaply made plastic, fully manual film camera, and I had no idea how to operate it.  However, I couldn’t be stopped from trying to understand it; spending my meager allowance endlessly on film until I finally got it right! Unfortunately for me, it would be many more years before I did.

Like many young adults do, I felt the pressure to explore a more stable career path and decided to pursue a career in Business Management. Although no longer my primary focus, I continued to study & explore photography as a hobby, and experiment with design.

After working several more years in an unfulfilling career, I realized I wasn’t happy, and my true calling could no longer take a back seat in my life. The artist in me was suppressed and I yearned to express my creativity. After careful consideration and with the support of my loving family, I decided to pursue my dream of a career in photography, and with a few more years of school I added graphic design to my repertoire as well. I didn’t plan this route for my life, we seldom ever do; but I love & appreciate the journey that has brought me to this point. Learning to trust in myself and my talent has been an enormous leap of faith and oh how thrilled I am for that jump!

Now 15 years later, I am a mother to a beautiful, amazing daughter, I’m a wife to an awesome husband, a dutiful servant to a dog & three cats, and lastly, but certainly not least, a dream-finally-realized-photographer and designer.

These are a few of my favorite things!

I love being with my family, hanging with friends, game nights, brunching, enjoying a glass of wine, a good sci-fi book, couch time with a cozy blanket to binge Netflix, the color red, traveling, waterfalls, vintage cameras, horses, cats, dogs, tacos, Oklahoma City, architecture, the beach, The Grand Canyon, a hot cup of joe, all kinds of music, and art in all kinds of mediums! Ok, so maybe that is more than a few...  Honestly, I could go on & on, but I won't!  I look forward to working with you, finding out who YOU are, what drives your passions, helping you bring your story to life, and who knows...  maybe even become lifelong friends.

“Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution.”
